Confidence

Filed under: General — admin @ 10:36 pm

My confidence with my values derives heavily from my family, both from experiencing their moral values directly and also from the value they placed on educating oneself and forming/holding one’s own moral values.

My confidence with others derives heavily from my dating experiences before and after the final dissolution of my first marriage.

My confidence with myself derives heavily from my experience at Princeton. There I was part of what was considered the best and brightest, felt myself the equal of any of them, and so ever after experienced the freedom and power to be myself. Norman Thomas (a pacifist socialist hero of mine and also a Princeton graduate) had this same experience.

My confidence with love comes from meeting and loving my wife Fran. I am so fortunate.

  1. You are an unusual man, Paul. And, I might add, an inspiration.
