I guess the U.S. follows the \u201cshoot first, talk later\u201d approach \u2013 oops, we can\u2019t be doing that, that\u2019s terrorist. So what IS the Supreme Court thinking?<\/p>\n<p>One of my NYTimes\u00a0Comments in response to their articles\u00a0was the following:<!--more-->\u00a0The Supreme Court seems incapable of making distinctions in this case. Did they think carefully about the various issues involved? To quote today\u2019s headline NYTimes article \u201cThis decision basically says the First Amendment allows making peacemaking and human rights advocacy a crime.\u201d It\u2019s a sad commentary on this country. I support appropriate peaceful civil disobedience when laws work against the appeals of conscience for peace and justice.
